That’s further down the food chain than I’d have expected. Would have thought regional National League would have been an option, but it’s difficult for young ‘keepers I suppose.

That leaves us with no sub 'keeper and in the event of injury/suspension to Crocombe, we'll be needing to apply for an Emergency Loan.

Unless Hurst is about to swoop for an out-of-contract 'keeper...

I find it weird how managers, generally, start signing and loaning players when they don't have about eight fit midfielders and eight fit strikers ahead of a weekend, yet they're fairly happy going into games with the bare minimum of fit defenders and just one fit keeper.

Not a dig at Hurst specifically because we've always known he doesn't tend to name a keeper on the bench. And I'm pretty sure a loan is incoming.

We can only sign a loan keeper outside the window if it is an emergency loan and that would only be the case if for any reason Crocombe is unavailable for a game.

I assume we could be signing a free agent keeper.

Does anybody know which keepers out there are still free agents?
