  • Keke Simmonds still feeling dead leg but should be able to train tomorrow
  • Kieran Green is back in training and will be available for selection
  • Bryn Morris will be out for at least two weeks with a hamstring injury, but there are positive signs in his recovery so far
  • Otis Khan isn't ready to start as he isn't match fit yet but his performance against Mansfield was positive
  • JMD doing well; no personal issues; sounds like he will get his opportunity
  • Ryan Bennett is training with the club; will train with both first and youth teams; just for fitness at the moment
  • Sean Scannell is doing strength work on his leg; could play again this year
  • John McAtee is back running and is maintaining fitness well
  • No appointment yet for Head of Recruitment
  • No plans yet for loans out, but that might change in the next couple of weeks
  • Rotherham (see other thread)
  • Swindon have retained most of the squad that made the play-offs last year and have good players; good in possession; will be a tough test

*EDIT*: I just checked and Swindon have actually lost half of their play-off starting XI from last year, so maybe I misheard PH. They're still a strong team though.

My husband is a long term serious Swindon Town supporter and they have definitely not retained most of the squad they had last season. They had a lot of loan players who they have not retained, lost their manager to Charlton and he has taken 3 players to Charlton as well as sweeping up one of the loanees who went back to their home club. They have recruited and the team is just starting to get used to one another, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Of the team that started at Donny last week only 3 were with them last season

Is that calculated misinformation from Hurst if so who is he trying to mislead?
