Pitch completely unplayable by the end there. Is that the third game called off at BP for a waterlogged pitch in August in the last 5 years? Wigan and Macclesfield spring to mind prior to tonight.

Bad luck, climate change or merely the result of a 120 year old drainage system which is simply no longer fit for purpose?

Mostly the result of it being incredibly dry for weeks until this storm hit so the ground doesn't drain as well as it normally would.

We used to have one of the best draining pitches in the league .. Must have taken too much sandy soil when it was re laid

I think it was Efete and Kiernan who tried to do a one-two pass in a puddle and the ball didn't move at all where I thought okay this is getting dumb now.

Gutted,  paid for the live stream about 15 minutes in.  Hopefully it'll carry over to the rearranged tie. Right call IMO,  was becoming a bit of a dangerous surface and couldn't play along the floor
