Can remember when a team associated with Forest scouted players from the area. Can't remember the name of the team but it had religious connotations.

Ace draw, looking forward to it.

It was Notre Dame run by Father Cannon - they had links to Forest apparently and a couple of players ended up there for trials . I played for them a few years but my skills were not quite good enough for Forest

This is also true. I think I had visions of beating someone like Rochdale comfortably at home in the next round before finally getting that draw at the Theatre of Screams. Town/Man U must be up there for the record number of years clubs have spent together in the football league without having played one another. And some mammary inevitably bangs on about it every season (my turn). I imagine they're just as keen for it! 😂

Anyway, Forest is a cracking draw,, really looking forward to it. Living in Lincoln, got a few mates who are Forest fans so the build up should be decent

We’ve played Manchester United 42 times in the league, and once in the FA Cup. The problem is that the last time was in 1947/48 so for most people it feels as though we’ve never played them.

Don't know if this was mentioned but on Tuesday there were 9 Championship teams who were drawn against lower league opposition. ALL 9 lost. That can't have happened ever before surely.

Last time I saw us play Forest in a competitive game, it was away at the City Ground and the Paul Creighton goalkeeper bloomer.

Hands up who was there? And what was the year?

Well I was there (lived in Boston at that time) and I'm guessing 92-93?

I would have liked Hull City, but looking at the way Bradford celebrated last night after beating a much-changed Hull side, I would not mind Bradford bringing them back down to earth.

They celebrated like they had won the League Cup for some bizarre reason.

Just a massive weight lifted from their shoulders. We haven’t started the league as expected, the coupled with losing to Barrow on the 97th minute, the lads needed a decent performance and their first win.

Nothing wrong with celebrating a win against a decent Hull team.

If you want to see a proper celebration in this competition, you only have to go back to 2013 when we reached the final.
