Absolutely amazing! Chris told me the girls had entered the competition but WOW, they won! Possibly my favourite ever third shirt. The detail in it and colours are brilliant. Well done girls!  UTM

Yuk
Great it's going to good causes but it's yuk.

In his three stints as Grimsby Town manager spanning over 10 years the club was never relegated and he also guided them to three promotions.
Only 14 managers have reached 1,000 matches in charge of a Football League team by 1998 and Buckley is one of them.

To be fair, it’s very much the same colour as Juve’s away kit from a few years ago which was modelled and coloured on their original kit…

The base colour is really nice and is used a fair bit in Italy. I’m not going to nitpick young girl’s designs because they’ve done alright but hopefully it can become a classic and we can use it more simply with white shorts and pink/white socks in the future.

There’s a chance to simplify the design in the future and make something of it.

Wasn’t a fan of the blue when it came out but have to say, now this has come out the blue kit looks even worse…

From seeing a lot of the submitted designs, this was actually one of the more 'plain' designs.

The 'red Cross brigade' on here would have had a field day with some of the 'louder' designs, but this pink shirt is a really good design.

I hope GTFC make it an annual competition for the Trust kids, or open it out to all supporters aged under 12.

It looks better then most of the professionaly designed ones we've had in recent year that does. I'm really impressed with that

I don't mind Roy Keane making £60,000 a week. I was making the same when I was playing. The only difference was I was printing my own - Mickey Thomas

The area you are trying to protect at corners is the goal - Chris Kamara

I once said Gazza's IQ was less than his shirt number and he asked me: What's an IQ? - George Best

Agreed, a competition like this is great and imagine being those kids seeing their designs being used. The charity element makes it even better, a truly community effort.

I guess, if they wanted to expand beyond the Trust memberships they could approach the 40odd primary schools and get them to offer it as an option for their kids. Would open the opportunity wider.

Could they pick a different charity each year?

Some great scope here and it’s actually a decent design, I’ve just shown it to some non town fan friends and they were all very complimentary about it.

Regardless of whether we like it or not, it was designed by a couple of young fans and the proceeds are going towards a youth project (Shalom) inTown. Can we not just get behind the project as Town Fans, rather than state how much we dislike it?

It's a kit, it's not a personal slight against the young fans or the good cause if people don't like it.

Most people have said they like it. Tbf they've done a better job with that that the blue one which is minging. Hopefully it's better quality than the home one which is made to a horrific standard.

The kit quality wasn’t good last year (Macron) nor Errea before them. The last well made kit we had was Nike in our opinion, and that’s a pretty long time ago.

With the proceeds going to Shalom it's a shame the kit isn't made by Wilson.

We should bring the kit in house, make our own, maybe under a separate company name … Grimsby Town Sports anyone?

For what it’s worth. I like the kit and I love that it’s been designed by our young fans and will benefit the community.

People used to moan about the Errea kits but the ones in our house have lasted years of wear. To be fair the kit from last year was better quality than the ones this year, which are dreadful.

Whilst I'm not the biggest fan of this kit as a middle aged man I couldn't imagine wearing it myself but I'm sure my daughter would love one and she's not a football fan, anything that engages the female/younger fan base is great and to support a charity as well I'm sure they will sell a lot!

What I really like is how they've managed to get a decent black and white stripe down an "away" shirt   , cant recall seeing that ever before?

I think an XXL one might well be seen gracing Thursday night Astro footy near Selby in the near future!

I quite like it inbthe flesh so to speak, was quite popular at today's game so they've sold a few. We'll dome to the girls that designed it, I like the little fish on it, cleverer than most professional designs.

Of course it's cleverer, the girls just used their imaginatioin, whereby the professionals just follow a style trend because thats what is expected in the market at the time

Not quite exactly, a slight difference in design. The main difference is that one says myenergi and the other doesn't.

And stripes in a different direction and not a v neck and not several hoops around the sleeve and no b&w stripe down. So generally its just a similar base colour

Well 5XS is more than likely for kids so unless you’re a small child whether you can get a forearm in it isn’t relevant…

I had that hoop shirt in long sleeve but unfortunately left it in a hotel room in the carnage of a hasty exit from a stag do . Still breaks my heart every time I see that shirt now .

If anyone has it in long sleeve I’ll pay top dollar for it …

Whilst I'm not the biggest fan of this kit as a middle aged man I couldn't imagine wearing it myself but I'm sure my daughter would love one and she's not a football fan, anything that engages the female/younger fan base is great and to support a charity as well I'm sure they will sell a lot!

That is the whole point. Apart from the actual design, the colour will appeal to a lot of our female fans. Don't just look at it as a third strip but more as a means to sell more shirts and raise our marketing appeal.

Exactly. That's why they include a free ironing board, iron and photos of kittens with the third kit, really marketing it to the ladies and what ladies like. 😄

I used to like the old yellow and red away kit from the ;ate 80s/early 90s

As an  aside both the new home and third kits have bloody awful collars, feels like they're full of itching powder, hopefully will decrease once they've been washed a few times.

They're made in China.  Probably some chemical warfare agent.  During the friendly against Cleethorpes, I got both their shirts.  Much better quality products.

What a pile of guff. I saw 90 pecent male to female wearing this shirt today..why should pink appeal to girls Richard Head. My wife decorated the lounge in blue, that doesn't make her more masculine.. You and your repost source go bash your heads with Barney Rubble's bam bam club
