Was thinking of going over to the game at Ferriby tonight.

Is it just a youth team we are sending? With the lack of publicity the Town website is giving it I was assuming so and I was under the impression the squad were flying out to Tenerife today.

But appears they go on Friday and having been to the Lincoln game where the starting XI got an extended runout there are probably a few who Hurst would like to give some match minutes to. Especially as there are no more friendlies.

Do do we think there may be some first teamers playing tonight ?

North Ferriby confirmed that GTFC have stated that first team players will be playing tonight. I agree that there should be a number of players who didn’t play last night plus Coke and his youth teamers.

Battersby
Cropper Goundry Branwell Amos (or YT LB)
Holohan (or Braithwaite) Khouri
Tomlinson Milner(YT) Wearne
Essel

Wearne and cropper. Only know Essel, Battersby, Goundry and Khouri of the others.

Goundry just receiving lengthy treatment for a head injury. Still 0-0.

I don’t ever remember so many injuries in pre season games. Thank christ there aren’t any more or we would be struggling to put a team out when the season starts!

Haven’t received our EFL numbers yet, as for our old conference numbers, we donated them to scunny.

Yeah I know that, but it's a piece of urine to get numbers on a couple of kits, so people know who's playing.  Sunday league teams have numbers.

We weren’t wearing an official kit, it was more like a training kit.

A 1 0 defeat for Town. We conceded just before the interval and didn't really look like scoring in my opinion.

Ferriby are a big strong side and were very much up for it. Having spoken to a few of their players, they think they'll be challenging for promotion this season which would put them where Cleethorpes and Grimsby Borough are now.

That was a nasty looking injury to Jaz. I don't think he knew where he was as he was helped off.

Always a good trip out here anyway.

Battersby, Cropper, Markham, Goundry, Zerboni, Milner, Braithwaite, Khouri, Wearne, Tomlinson, Essel

Subs: Dennis (GK), Thorpe, Hodgson, Brown, Coke

Shame on you Les!

I've always had the softer spot for Grimsby Borough ahead of Cleethorpes Town. I love the fact that there are now two local sides in Step 4 of non-league football.

I saw Immingham Town at Thorne Colliery last Friday. They looked useful. It would be good to see them do well too. They are in Step 7.

Did you get an UF ST in the end?

I did, same seat as last season. Got it quite early on.
