Khan is eligible to play for Pakistan as it is the birthplace of his grandfather.[19] In January 2015, Khan was called up to play for the Pakistan national football team in a friendly against Afghanistan but he missed the match as he did not get the necessary visas and vaccinations; he was however confirmed selected for the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches in March 2015.[20]

Khan has since turned down a call-up to the Pakistan national side in the hope of playing for England in the future.

I'm an optimist but I can't see him playing for England, Pakistan possibly.


You can please some of the forumites some of the time but not all the forumites all of the time
