It would be nice for the 2nd or 3rd kit to be of similar design to that of Grimsby Pelham in 1878-79 season, minus the plus fours

If anyone’s interested, here are the three Macron options Scunny fans have to choose from to select their special edition 22/23 National League relegation strip.

Apparently whichever one they go with, their new kit will feature the latest cutting edge technology which infuses it with the rancid stench of failure.

That last option in black and white gives me memories of Gary Jones in 06/07.

Before I get shot down in flames here, I think almost everything 1878 have done has been absolute top notch. However, I do think it's a bit of a missed revenue opportunity to not have the kits out in time for fathers day. Of course, there was a lot going on in May and I'm sure there are legitimate reasons for it but had they been available I'd have definitely already bought my Dad one and I'm sure there are many others in the same position. Not a criticism as such, just a potential learning for next year. I guess they will still get my business in that I'll be buying my own as soon as they're available and I'll get my Dad one for Xmas instead.

When you consider that virtually every team has a new kit or three every summer, orders have to be placed very early. The Macron kits aren't like the Nike kits which were essentially from the Sunday League collection and we printed the sponsors on ourselves, they are part of the fabric so a big part of the delay is because of our change of sponsorship.

I'm willing to cut 1878 some slack here. I agree with you but I'm confident dads will get new shirts for Fathers Day in 2023.

I wonder why that is..

Some legitimate reasons and some misty eyed tales told on the back of a pub.
If I’d reacted or responded to some of the abuse in kind that I’ve heard or suffered from Irish people they’d be up in arms .
They seriously like to give it but often can’t take it
