I see the commercial property is available on 5he corner of Grimsby road and imperial avenue that would make a great club shop right on the main road in everyone’s eye sight freeing up space to enlarge the trust bar

What a brilliant idea that is. Have the ticket office and club shop on the corner. I'm not sure how much room there is to house the other downstairs staff but it would allow the club to turn that whole downstairs space into a bigger bar.

What a brilliant suggestion. That is just the sort of idea the club would welcome I'm sure. Take the club shop out of the pressure cooker which is a match day due to it being in the same space as the ticket office, but near enough to the ground to make it viable. Let's hope the club officials read this site.

One of the best suggestions I’ve seen on this board for a long time. Would solve so many problems.

"Falls to Arnold... Arnold! That's it! Thats it! He's sealed it! Grimsby Town are back in the football league!!! Just a minute to go and Nathan Arnold makes it 3-1! Look at the scenes behind the goal! Look at the relief! The agony is finally over!!!"

I did ask about the fan zone and was told that the container with the seating is being moved back slightly toward the Osmond Stand so the capacity can be increased by 160 and still meet fire regs with the addition of a second entrance/exit.

Nothing else was mentioned but I wouldn't rule out further improvements in the future.

That's fantastic ginny, I had seen there was space behind that container and wondered if they would be bale to move back for more space, 160 is lots more but looks like it will be needed!

Fanzone will be busier - hopefully - but that will present a problem, the queues and speed of service etc , hopefully Docks can find a way to improve those. Been a great addition to match days - always nice atmosphere and relaxed, music etc - guess it’s a nice problem to have in that more people visit, but with that comes issues too solve also - as in other areas need to keep hold of the increased support.

If the season tickets carry on like this we won’t need a ticket office!

Forgot to mention the pitch yesterday. It's looking very lush with the new grass now established and was being cut by Mike the groundsman.

I look forward to seeing what he can do with a proper pitch maintenance budget.
