McAtee IS in Adam Virgo’s team

Virgo has gone up in my estimation.  He picked his team of the season before the Solihull Moors game.  He said hard to leave out Sbarra and Dallas.  

JT he picked McAtee because he looks above the league he is playing,  He seems to glide through games and is a natural
footballer.

He said it is like seeing a Ferrari and a Clio drive past.  Both do the same job but one looks so much nicer.

His goals have been crucial.  Grimsby have missed him when he has been unfit.  Grimsby are a much stronger team with him in the side.

(My ironic comment:  the team continues to evolve.  We scored in and won 3 playoff matches when McAtee was not on the pitch).

I could have told you we deserved to beat county after the game, not rocket science. He wasn’t begging us up before the game, bit like when we played Halifax at home. Not sure if he predicted us to beat Wrexham. Either way, he is still a dogsh8t commentator

It's a pundits job to make a prediction before a match. He did that and just because he said Notts County you don't like it. He definitely said after we equalised at Notts County that we deserved it and he said the same after the match.

But when he has commented on town before he has not been interested in us, it’s been the opposition, and he’s still a dogsh8t commentator whether it’s town or anything else, sometimes it’s like he’s never played the game.

As for praise, well after what we have just done, he’s hardly going to say anything else is he. Who isn’t going to praise us. Even a lot of the scunts and 6 fingered friends up the A16 were praising us.

Compare him to the co-comms that BT Sport have for their Champions League & Premier League coverage (Glenn Hoddle, Michael Owen, Owen Hargreaves, etc...) and he's very good. I watched the Final back & Kevin Davies was a poor substitute for him.

He's not on BBC Radio Humberside. If you can't cope with him being impartial because it involves talking about the opposition as well then it's another bonus of us being back in the EFL that we probably won't be live on TV again for ages.
