As far as I understand the Mariners Trust fundraiser is not just for families with kids, it's for anyone who is priced out of going. Appreciate a lot of focus has been on families but that doesn't mean hard up pensioners who have supported Town for years aren't also welcome to tap into the support.

Well, that's what I understand from it anyway, I'm not involved with organising though.

That doesn't mention pensioners it is directed at children which is commendable.£44 for lots of pensioners and not a concession on sight is too much for many.

There's been some discussion on social media about helping some supporters who can't afford tickets.  The Trust have published details of how to make a donation.  


Where does that mention just children? It's for all fans as far as I read into it!

Perhaps if you'd tried making a point rather than appearing to moan that would have got there quicker?

I'm sure that the Club/Trust will have a means of getting out across communities to find out who needs help. I think those that are fortunate enough to have bought tickets without the need for help won't be at all fussed how people get the support. Those who have donated have done so with absolute selfless intent and so trust the Club to help those who need it however it is needed.

If you're trying to create a discussion on how 'deserving' a person might be or who decides who is deserving I think you may have read the room wrong.

All I have tried to do is hilight the plight of some pensioners in gtfc land and point help their way.I have payed my own way and donated but could not see the wood for the trees so thank you for comments and offers let's get fans to the game
