There's a wetherspoons in Stratford 20 min walk from the stadium, large outdoor beer garden

App service on match days too so you don’t need to male private about at the bar.

I imagine most of the grown ups will be taking advantage of the selection of pubs in Hackney Wick but that might be a bit too posh for some being full of bars offering craft beers by a nice canal. Some will feel more at home in Stratford finding the nearest Wetherspoons since you can go to London and still feel like you're in Grimsby, complete with druggies hassling you for money at the station and slummy terraced streets.

I avoid Stratford like the plague if I can.

You could copy and paste the above onto the tourist information board at Stratford.

Do not come to Wetherspoons in Stratford, just ridiculous. Queueing to get in and big wait for anything

'I walked in the dressing room. The window was open and I thought that a sea fret had got in. Then I saw smoke billowing from a pipe in the corner of the room...it was my centre-forward. He looked seven stone wet through. He went on to score thirty-odd goals that season.' Lawrie McMenemy on encountering the legend that was Matt Tees.
