Lenny has been offered a contract at York so we really need to get out of this Division so that there will be 1 less ex-player to score against us next season.

I heard this from my York City fan father in law yesterday (needless to say, my wife was born in Lincs.); they've understandably been delighted with him up there. Personally I'm really pleased to hear how it's gone for him with City and wish him the very best. I think this is great news all round.

Lennie got them promoted virtually season single--handed with his goals in the playoffs.  Pleased for him and he would be an asset for them next season.  York are desperate for a goalscorer, or 2.

At the start of his loan Lennie was missing chances and some fans did not want him.  I am going on a tour of their stadium in late July as part of a group visit.  I shall mention the success of Lennie’s loan and goals.  And Paddy McLaughlin (their captain).

He wasn't even close to the standard required for a club hoping to get promotion out of this league. But I'm pleased he's found his level. One thing you could never level at him is a lack of effort so it's great he's had success for York.

His level next season will be the level we are at now though!

Whilst he’s done well at York, I thought he looked short at Conference level and suspect he may struggle again next season

MacAtee and Taylor both limped off on Monday, if they are both out Abrahams and Mani come in, but we then have no strikers on the bench.

In that scenario The Shop might well be on the bench for us. He is match fit and in form after all.

Genuine question...

Is a player allowed to play for two different clubs in the play-offs in the same season?

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

I can't see why not, when we are his parent club. It's not as if he's come back and then been loaned to a further play-off participating club.

If Carlsberg did fairytales, he’d come on as sub and score the last minute winner tomorrow
