...Chesterfield have been given 575 for their trip to Solihull.

Solihull who averaged 1,779 this season at home have sold out the home ends (around 5,000 I think). Presumably to Villa and Blues fans. I'd be fuming if I was a Chesterfield fan.

Appreciate this is difficult, but I think the National League need to take a look at how these allocations are worked out.  There should be a percentage, it certainly seems stacked against the away teams.

Wiki says Solihull's capacity is 5,500 so they've given the 10% they have to I think. I personally think that allocations should match whatever the maximum is that a club has given that season.

Why?

The decision cannot be challenged because the Moors have allocated more than 10% of thet total stadium capacity (4,510 according to their own website) to Town fans and because all home tickets have already been snapped up.

They didn't even sell their allocation at Halifax ??

Sounds fair enough, given the home tickets have sold out.

To Villa fans though? Fair enough if you disagree, but I reckon there'd be a meltdown on here if that was the case.

No real way of policing that though, and I would guess (and it's a complete guess!) quite a few people who follow Solihull are Villa/Blues fans. Just think it'd be unfair if they had to give the away side half their ground.

Yeah, I wouldn't expect them to give them 2,000 or anything but that away end is split into two sections and they've only given Chesterfield one part of it. Could have easily been 1,000 or so as they've given that before this season. These Blues/Villa fans following Solihull obviously haven't been getting down there that often otherwise their average wouldn't be less than 2,000.

I feel for anyone that's put a lot of time/effort/money into following their side and then misses out on the playoffs. It's fine when it's your supporters and the tickets have gone to ST holders but when the stadium is being filled up with people out for a jolly who'll probably be dipping out on 87 minutes it's harsh.

What about 45% of capacity to the home side, 45% of capacity to away team and 10% for sponsers family etc. All fans home and away get the same number of fans in.

So if Chesterfield (having earned more points) played Solihull at home, they'd have the same amount of tickets available?!
