I’m a bit surprised that STs got next season haven’t gone on sale yet. It has always struck me as daft that the club never tried to sell tickets for the following season when fans are still coming to games. The majority of professional clubs up and down the country seem to be already selling STs for next season. It was one of the things I expected to change with the new owners.

Anyone aware when they are going on sale and why they aren’t already available?

I guess the argument is that we don't know what league we will be playing in. I know costs will be increasing for the club but I'm not sure the fan base will tolerate a price hike either without an advance opportunity to beat the price increase.

The accounting year ends this month so perhaps the club want that income to fall into the next accounting year?

If they had been on sale for a few weeks I'm sure there would have been loads purchased after the Stockport game.

I swear some people just look for different ways to have a moan. Does it really matter when they go on sale? I haven’t seen any evidence to show that earlier they’re on sale, the greater the numbers that buy them. If people want a season ticket, they’ll buy a season ticket. For example, do you think that Scunny having their season tickets on sale now will make a blind bit of difference to take-up?

I think having season tickets on sale now would have a positive impact on sales. The ticket initiatives are getting new fans into the ground. Those people/families and current casual fans are more likely to buy now while they are attending matches than in a month when the season is a distant memory.

Wrexham put there’s for sale in February. Notts County have been on sale since April.

We wouldn’t put the next home game on sale a few days after the previous home match was played so why do we do that with STs?

Always thought, that when we are in this position (play off’s/promotion chase) offer ST’s at a fixed price, no matter what league we are in the following season

Wrexham can't be sure what division they'll be in next season, but they've already sold over 5000 ST's for next season!

I'm in the camp that they should be on sale. I don't think a price hike would go down well at all when you consider the furore we had over the badge earlier this season.

I don't really have a preference either way as its been a long time since I was last a ST holder and will probably be a while until I am again. Some of the suggestions made make me think that getting them on sale early could have benefits, maybe financially but for reputation too perhaps.

With the point being made on here has anyone progressed the idea into the Club, either directly or via the Mariners Trust? If the idea or suggestions have enough merit then the current owners seem the type to consider these things more willingly than prior ownership.

I think the cost of living crisis, inflation getting out of control whilst wages stagnate and an impending recession make a price rise unlikely.

I would be in favour of charging fans extra for a physical match ticket or physical season ticket card. I would be quite happy to just have a QR code on my phone.

It would save the club a small fortune in the cost of the cards and match tickets and allow the club to directly pass on the cost to those who are unable/unwilling to go digital.

And it’s better for the planet & GTFC’s carbon footprint.

If Wrexham have been selling them from February then I would assume that’s how they’ve paid £300k for Palmer, but the question is have they spent most of next seasons budget already in the quest for promotion.

I would have thought they would have been more on the ball with it really....but.....
What floating supporter would actually buy one now blind, unless it was heavily reduced / incentivised some other way,  when you could just wait and buy it once we know exactly what you are paying for?

This year I have had my first S.T for a number of years, stopped renewing when it became clear JF was taking the pee previously.  Have loved having it, forgot how much less hassle it is with one, plus getting the first dibs on limited away days has been invaluable.

Footnote - as long as they are announced the night or day after we win the play off final and not in late June all be well

IF we get to Wembley we should put them on sale the week leading up to Wembley with no price increases. Then see how it pans out at Wembley

I think their owners have a few quid stuffed down the sofa, so they won't be short of cash next season.

What ever happens something needs to be sorted out. Due to an error on my behalf I once used my 9yr old grandsons ST to gain entrance to BP I wasn't questioned. As an experiment I thought i would use his season ticket again. I wasn't stopped,  queried or questioned and i did this for 8 weeks....hope you're reading this GTFC.
