Literally picked the arm band up today when it was cast aside.
I hought he was excellent today when he came on led like a lion and played well all be against a pretty bang average side. He even reffed the game for long periods of the time.
Shaun shows no fear, other in the squad should take note as if we’re going to be a success in the play offs you need that kind of mental strength.

violent conduct is a 3 game ban.
It wasn’t Violent Conduct! It was DOGSO which only carries a 1 match ban. Violent Conduct is when a player strikes or head butts an opponent. If it had not been DOGSO then it could have been serious foul play which is using excessive force or a very high challenge (knee).

I thought violent conduct was a yellow these days? That's what I saw yesterday anyway!

There could actually be a positive out of this.
Waterfall gets 1 1/2 games well earned rest. Pearson gets 1 1/2 games to help match fitness/sharpness.
If, and it looks like it will happen, we make the play offs, then who’s not to say we can benefit from it

Plenty of time to put things right, should have let player through on goal, he might have missed or Max could have saved it. Then we would have had 11 men to turn it around, and two subs to change things.

I think it was evident that Waterfall’s mind was still on the OG, two things stand out for me. 1 They shouldn’t have been getting through is so easily 2 If it had happened 20 mins later I think it would be dealt with. I was pretty underwhelmed by the players responses yesterday, some had fighting spirit a couple didn’t look up for a comeback. Anyway you can’t change it and there’s a game Tuesday to put it right. Still think by the letter if the law the lad should have gone for the shove on Pearson but maybe it was clear to the ref as well as the 6000+ people what Shaun was trying to do😉

I see the logic but the poor bloke had just conceded a second consecutive own goal, and before he could clear his head he is faced with a striker running completely free with the goal at his mercy. I don't think anyone would be too happy if he didn't do everything possible stop him. On a wider point though i do wish players wouldn't give the ref an easy decision to make by touching an opponent allowing him to fall to the ground especially when facing their own goal. All of the Pontoon shouting "dont foul him..."oh too late as their player feels a tiny tap and goes down! Just keep him trapped in there and give him a problem.

And yet constant shirt pulling both in and out of the box continues to go unpunished.
