Doubt it but let's hope Dover can get something tonight and a Southend win would pretty much finish off Boreham Wood's chances off reaching the play-offs.

Bromley v Aldershot
Dover v Notts Co
Southend v Boreham Wood
Weymouth v Wrexham

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

Notts are a bit iffy sometimes. Expect them to win but wouldn't be massively surprised if they don't.

Come on Dover!!!!

They can definitely score against top sides, 7 away to Wrexham and Chesterfield recently. Problem is defence. They conceded 9, several of them late in the matches.

But they might pull off a surprise, like Kings Lynn, Yoeville and Woking did recently. But I think Southend are a very good bet tonight.

I think Boreham Wood are probably out of it (on the basis of form as much as the points gap) but a defeat tonight would all but confirm that and hopefully take a bit of needle out of our home game against them.

Notts County will rightly fancy themselves to beat Dover, but it doesn’t look quite the formality it did a few weeks ago since County have had a wobble in form and Dover have landed some serious punches on top half sides recently.

Wrexham’s result doesn’t matter in theory, but I’d like them to keep pushing Stockport who still have to play Chesterfield and Halifax (on the last day in the unlikely event we have a chance of passing them). I’d add to that that if Wrexham do miss out on the title, I’d much rather it was to a last gasp Stockport winner in the 98th minute of the final game.

As for Bromley; fúck ‘em. End of message.

Well, as an alternative scenario to the one I posted above, maybe a complete bottling and loss of form wouldn’t be a bad way for Wrexham to end the season.

Absolutely slapping Madrid about at the minute - they don’t know what’s hit them. A lot wrong with football at that level but as a fan of the game there’s a lot to admire about City on a technical level.

0-0 everywhere in the national League at half-time, with the exception of Wrexham’s surprising 1-0 deficit at Weymouth. Aaron Hayden, one of their better players, taken off injured. Cries of ‘wheels falling off’ from the Wrexham fans.

Dover currently have their first point of the season on the board. Dig in lads, dig in!

Whilst playing to final whistle is key, I think Wrexham have had about 4 hours worth of injury time in games they’ve been losing…

Wrexham 2-1 in front within 5 minutes of the restart. Dover down to 10, and now Country have just gone 1 up.

Ball sacks.

Wrexham now 4-1 up. They do seem to have an uncanny knack of being quite shít before suddenly blowing teams away out of nowhere.

If Liverpool make it through their semi either opponent will make it a decent final. This is one of the better first leg European games I’ve seen.

Regards the Conf games: we’ve asked for a ticket for the lottery and we’re just waiting for it to print to see the numbers. It really doesn’t matter who we get in a single leg game.

Fifth is the best I think we can manage so the only rubbish result for us tonight is the Notts County one. THis finishes off Bromley and Boreham Wood so only really the Daggers to worry about and even them Im not overly concerned about.

Even Everton had Liverpool looking shaky the other day, City did at the Etihad in the first half the other week.

This might be the game of the season.

OK maybe not Liverpool or Everton - Gordon on TAA. I don’t think TAA would have handled that Vinicius goal much better than City did tonight.

Just Daggers to worry about now I think. They have a better goal difference so if we were to lose one it will start to get tense. But the next two games are about as easy as they come given that we are playing bottom third teams with nothing to play for. Win those two and we are probably home and dry.

In most games he doesn’t need to do much defending and he plays to his attacking strengths which is a large part of Liverpool are in the top five teams in the world. He won’t ever be a regular for England because of his defensive traits but doubt that really bothers him.

Haven't we still got some skin in that game...?

I see Fulham are building a huge new Thames-side stand - going to be a great ground that and redeveloped in situ. I went there when it was nearly all terracing in the early 80s, with only 7k scattered around it. Another club that has transformed itself.

TAA is still young.  Her will struggle at present to get the RB for England as behind Walker and James.   His goal against Barca and range of accurate passing shows his quality.  In years time he might be better suited to a creative midfield role.

Haven't we still got some skin in that game...?

I see Fulham are building a huge new Thames-side stand - going to be a great ground that and redeveloped in situ. I went there when it was nearly all terracing in the early 80s, with only 7k scattered around it. Another club that has transformed itself.

Went there a few times myself in the 80s....

It never felt intimidating at all, just a bit of a sleepy hollow feel to it although on the pitch it was a different matter as I saw us tonked in a couple of those games ( a 4-0 and a 5-0 come to mind )

I went the season after the 4-0 - it was 8-0 on aggregate that season. 1-1 when I went - Drinks scored and there was a torrential downpour. About 200 Town fans in the side stand and 7,351 in total. Our London away support has trebled + and Fulham’s home support has nearly trebled.

I notice they have moved their star player's statue somewhere else.
Michael Jackson. Not sure what position he played.
