2 goals for Halifax within a couple of minutes.

Halifax 2-0 Chesterfield with around 10 minutes to go.

(BT Sport 1)

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

Chesterfield are a one trick pony.

Halifax have the best defence in the league, so no way are they letting this one slip.

Why do players rarely get booked for kicking the ball away these days, Halifax player just did it to waste time?

The Chesterfield forum is in meltdown. Best team lost, ref was crap and the best one yet- Gunning going off was what cost them the game.

I was hoping for a draw there to make Halifax in 3rd reachable but if we can continue picking up results without McAtee, a top 5 finish and home quarter final is well within our grasp.

This must be our target now. We're not going to get in the top three, so aim for a home tie against whoever.

A home tie and win could just give us a bit of momentum into what would be a tough away tie. Looking at the fixtures I don't think we will catch Solihull in 4th but 3 wins could put us 5th. However 5th v 6th is then likely to play Wrexham away, think I'd favour Halifax.

Just seen another classic on the Chesterfield forum.

Apparently, the league needs restructuring to allow more promotion places because when Stockport and Wrexham get promoted, another big money club like Woking (eh?) or Oldham will come in and rule the roost and they will be stuck in this league forever.

I'm sure they spent £250,000 on one player.
