After his rest period, do you JF is ready to buy another club. ?
I hear the current owner is looking for a quick sale.
1 1/2 billion in loans. But they’re benign I believe. So you’ll be fine John.

Time to move on from the Fenty stuff now, eh guys?

"Falls to Arnold... Arnold! That's it! Thats it! He's sealed it! Grimsby Town are back in the football league!!! Just a minute to go and Nathan Arnold makes it 3-1! Look at the scenes behind the goal! Look at the relief! The agony is finally over!!!"

I’ll move on on one condition.

He hands back to our club the money he bullied from the trust.

Until then …………….

Not a chance, the fornicator got a free ride, was even supported whilst he oversaw two relegations from the league and years of mismanagement and zero ambition.

And, when he hands back the money that is most certainly not his…

I suppose you expect an extra £200k to be added to the loan account then. Just to make sure that it's all back how it was before that happened...

Abramovich has stated that he doesn't want his £15000000000 benign loan back when the club is sold because he wasn't in it for the money' it was because he was a TRUE FAN. ( not all chairmen ( none ) are the same )

We will see what happens. He's a prominent friend of Putin and hasn't condemned him yet so it's just a load of words at the moment.

It's net proceeds too so it will be interesting to see what expenses he chooses to deduct. I'm sure his £1.5bn will be part of the expenses

Yes, he doesn’t want his £1.5bn loan back BUT.., he bought Chelsea for £130m in 2003 and he’s looking to get £3bn for it now. So he’s potentially £1.37bn up on the deal.

Oh and him offering the net proceeds from the sale to Ukrainian war victims roughly translates as “if you freeze my assets then the Ukrainian war victims won’t get £1.37bn!”

If he was really going to help the Ukrainians he’d offer that money to the Russian officer who slots Putin.

It's a vaguely worded statement that doesn't really state which side he's on. If he's this noble chap he wants us to believe maybe he should publicly state he no longer counts Putin as a friend.

Also, if Russia are successful in this madness invasion, then a billion or two donated to the long term rebuilding of a country they’re presently bombing the hell out of would be very welcome by mother Russia.
Whole thing stinks of doing everything he can to keep as much of his very Ill gotten gains as he can while trying to stay “neutral”.

I was there, the day Bradley Wood scored a 35 yarder!

From the black and white striped shirts
To the fish in the sea
You'll hear us singing
Coz we are Grimsby.

You won't hear us crying
But you'll hear us shout
Coz we are the Grimsby
And this is our chant.......... Grimsby! Grimsby! Grimsby!

Interesting how he's first prominent Russian to use the word 'war', hopefully he might be the first of many to start cutting ties with Putin.
There's talk of Russia declaring martial law this Friday in a vain attempt to stop protests.

Difficult to cut ties with him when at least half of his money is in reality Putin’s cut of the money stolen from the Russian people.

Nobody is going to speak out against Putin, because if they did then they'd probably end up dead at some point. That doesn't mean he or any of the others support the war or its cause. The vast majority of Russians are calling for peace and negotiations. This is very much one man's war.

Not to mention Abramovic's family are partly from Ukraine, so I highly doubt he wants the country destroying.

Am sure that sheikh el Mohammed el camel when growing up and investing his families money into a club didn’t support them (whoever they are!). How many owners these days (in the top divisions) actually grew up supporting that club? The only one I can think of is Steve Gibson at Middlesbrough, though am sure there’s more

Given that hardly anyone was allowed to visit the West in those days, I doubt he would have. Much more likely to dream of Dynamo Kiev*.

* his boss dreams of dynamiting Kiev.

Must have been hell for him, having to watch town and have his executive passes into games for nothing, whilst everybody else had to pay for the privilege. Think of all the thousands he saved on. How much, over the years, would it have cost a normal fan, especially on the away days ??
