I’ve just had a pop at someone for a non football comment on here so I guess I’m going to be a hypocrite but you’d imagine internal pressure would be the only thing that stops Putin.

He won't be welcomed back though. The great thing about the attempt to create the Super League last year was that even the fans of the English teams who were supposed to be in it were opposed to it. Fans could see it was morally wrong and didn't want their owners to take them into it, a reminder of who really owns the club. I've never liked the big teams but their supporters went up in my estimation during that episode. It might take a while but I hope this is the beginning of the end for RA at Chelsea.

Does this mean he won’t be writing any more cheques out . If that’s the case Chelsea will be quickly back down with the likes of Leicester and Soton in mid table
