I’m no Royalist but to have a go at the Queen for stumping up the cash is a bit harsh. She’s probably never had to make a on important conscious decision all her life. She’s just a puppet advised what to say, what to sign and when to wave and nod. For all her luxury I bet there have been many times when she wished for a normal life.

Even though I have green ticked the above because I understand what you’re saying I will still carry on singing God save the Queen out of respect and admiration for this woman, but no way will I ever be singing God save the King.
