Anyone got this?
I recently bought a laptop, and it struggles to run it, so clearly not good enough.

In process of returning, and now looking at an alternative.

Can anyone with a bit of knowledge help?
Original one was a HP Chromebook thingy, and was less than £200, so not surprised it struggled!

I just don't want to spend loads, as it will only really be used for this!

Google search 'Best laptops under £200', use the link on the trust website for cashback to the trust or Quidco etc. for yourself.

I use to have this problem until I bought a new laptop this year. I tend to buy my games(I only play football manager and Sid Meirs  Civilization V eg Iam not a big gamer) on steam which is a online pc store if you dont know already. Sadly if you do want to play the latest football manager games you will need a half decent laptop although nothing too fancy. I imagine in the region of £400 -£600.

Try using this site below  as well. Helps you determine whether your laptop can run  the latest games.  I suppose you can get the system requirements for football manager 2022 and run it through a sales adviser online via currys to make sure you have got a laptop that plays the game as well.

Ive got the football manager 2021 version but wont be buying the next football manager series for around another 4 years. Dont think getting a new game every year is worth it.

I bought a new laptop off AO which has flexible payments over 4 years with 50 quid cashback, AO also do laptops with upto £100 cashback at the moment. FM22 runs like a dream! Not much on the game itself has changed however the match engine is better.

Town on mine start with £60,000 budget with a wage budget of around £36,000.

Morais went to AFC Wimbledon   and Lenny is out for a year so bringing in Lee Novak.

Problem is, due to chip shortages, laptops are quite a bit more expensive than they were pre-pandemic.

If you can wait around a little, I'd wait until the 'Black Friday' weekend and then keep your eyes open for deals. Ought to be able to save yourself a hundred quid on a decent enough laptop, though you're talking over 400 these days instead of over 300.

Alternatively, keep an eye on hotukdeals - you have to move pretty quickly when good offers are posted there, however.

I'm still on CM01/02. There's an active online community who update the game (data & patch the original game exe).

If you get the chance and can afford it get the updated games. I use to play the old style football manager  game like you till around 5 years ago. Jump in gameplay is massive and much more enjoyable in my opinion.

Too detailed for me. I bought various games after CM0102 (which was the last version of CM3) and didn't enjoy any of them.

I enjoyed the FM series upto about 2014, but have grown frustrated at the level of detail in the newer versions. Despite delegating everything out to assistants and coaches, I still find there’s too much left and it takes too long to get through a season.

I've been sober of FM since 2010 and despite an hours flirtation with FM 2016 Mobile I'm never going back down that chasm again. Have to say that I've been tempted to look into the nostalgia of Championship Manager but fear it's just going to be A gateway back to the hard stuff.

Never look back.

I love the game though. Spent a many happy  afternoon trying to get Grimsby into the championship 🙂.

I've played the mobile version as well but much rather prefer playing the PC version on my  laptop. Iam thinking of getting back to playing pro evo or FIFA. Only thing with that is the PlayStation 5 is expensive and for the price which it retails at eg just over £ 500 you can get a decent laptop for that. I still play Pro evolution soccer now and again though on the PlayStation 3. I find you can still have a good game with that with friends .

Won the league with 101 points, Ryan Taylor scored 37 as a Pressing Forward in  4231 formation.

Lenny retired after another ACL injury in November
