Hi all,

Just a one-time post to warn visitors of our ridiculous ticketing policy.

There's no cash on the turnstiles at all and there's no ticket sales after 1400 on a matchday.

That's stupid, you think they would be doing all they can to get fans through the turnstiles, not making it as difficult as possible.

What happens when away fans, unaware of this stupid rule turn up in numbers and can't get in?  It's a recipe for disaster,

Thank you for the warning, you would think they would at least give visiting customers some warning wouldn't you.

On the ticket receipt it states strictly "no admission after kick off" .....is that something they enforce religiously?

If this is right then it's a very bad policy. Given the location of Torquay, and the fact most away fans have to travel for hours to get there, then any road accident could delay them from arriving on time. Rail travel can also be delayed so having this policy is not very well thought out.

The club should think about away fans and not impose such a condition.


You can please some of the forumites some of the time but not all the forumites all of the time

Good point, and only really see it shooting them in the foot. if enough fans are delayed, then so will kick off be. and they can fork out overtime to stewards and pay for more policing

I wonder if this applied to last season, could be one of the reasons why they did so well without many visiting fans maybe.  It would definitely add to the home advantage,still have to beat the team in front mind.  From their point of view they probably have enough ST to be competitive so why make it easy for away fans to turn up.  Its a very selfish policy tbf.

Just a heads up info. We traveled down yesterday and allow plenty of time if coming down Saturday as major road works around Newton Abbot into Torquay took well over an hour for two miles  UTM
