I'm in taunton and wondered if anyone wanted to car share or meet up on route too Torquay?
I've found a great price on the train arriving at 10.15am but the latest return is 7.50pm but I was hoping to stay for a few hours and hit the casino!
Let me know!
Also anyone down for the weekend let us know where you're going pre match! Utfm

The casino shut last year, so you may struggle with that…

Why not stay in a b&b/travelodge etc?

There’s a good premier inn near the sea front and only a short walk into the main town. Wrong side for the ground but a taxi wouldn’t cost a lot.
I seem to recall there’s a great social club/bar at the ground (help me out here Les!)

If anyone is after a decent meal there’s a great American bbq place just round the corner from Wetherspoons (I think 🥴).

There is mate. It's called Boots & Laces.

I won't be there this season unfortunately. Priced out by train fares and accomodation costs. Even the Travelodge want £133.99 for a one night stay and nearly all B&B's that aren't fully booked want best part of £100!

I did read somewhere that Torquay is the most popular "staycation" desination in the UK, so I think they're trying to make up for all the money thay lost during the lockdown.

The Premier Inn was booked up as soon as I looked when the fixtures came out.

Nearest Premier Inn with available rooms is 5 miles away in Paignton and that was £152.50!

V difficult to book torquay accommodation and meal. Most decent places are fully booked until october. 4 of us going to number 7 bistro on the harbour side.that was booked when the fixtures came out and could only get 8.30/9pm and the gaffer told me they, like many other places, are down to a skeleton staff
