No idea what the job actually is but guessing his work on The Wealth of Nations probably got him the interview.

Does this mean he has to shin up the floodlights to sort out any problems?

Strange how some of these key roles weren’t advertised positions.

I don't recall the job of chairman that Philip Day was given ever being advertised or the role of Stadium Manager that Nick Dale was totally unsuitable for.

I believe you’ve just been ‘owned’ Filch Nohope.

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.

Many successful organisations recruit for vacancies internally before opening out applications to external candidates Fillipe. Thought an astute in-the-know type like yourself would be aware of such things.

Strange. I thought Phil was in the know about recruitment at GTFC.

He's been working at the club for years in different roles so maybe they thought they already had a suitable candidate who shared their vision for the club. These sorts of roles are very rarely advertised anyway and often people move up the ladder internally.

I don't recall any of Fenty's yes men doing anything at the club other than being there to give him more votes and power, they had strange advisory roles and didn't have shares of their own or contribute financially to the club.
