What do we reckon the attendance will be on Saturday then.

Do you reckon we could break 5000?

Not sure how many Weymouth are going to bring.

4200 with about 15 from Weymouth. That’s going to be the worst thing this year, seeing the car-full of away fans in the Osmond most weeks.

Maybe someone with some time on their hands can go on the ticket portal and count the number of grey seats to give some idea of how many we've sold?

I reckon a good idea this season (apart from the likes of Notts, Chesterfield, Wrexham, Stockport and maybe Halifax) would be to stick the away fans in the corner this season, and then (if we're doing well) we could get Town fans in The Osmond too.

With fans not being allowed for so long I think we’ll see a bumper away attendance. 25.

Apparently they've got a coach coming (although there are still spare seats).

4000 would be good . 3000 season ticket holders (some of whom will be on hols) plus a hefty pay on the day crowd. Can’t see Weymouth having more fans than players in the squad.

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.

I think there’s potential for better away support this year than any of the others in our last spell down here.

Still shite mind you, but looking at the league above, not that much difference to what we might’ve had anyway.

Might also find that due to the high infection rates locally some ST holders may not even go . A lot of frightened people are out there.

Interesting, the latest research indicates that for the healthy, vaccinated, population exposure to the virus is the best strategy for building long-term resistance to the mutations as they occur. For those with compromised immune system that doesn't apply though.

I'm sure that'll happen if we start selling out. Can't see it though

STH's count towards the total attendance whether they attend or not I believe.

The opposition doesn't help the attendance but I think we will break 4000. Nobody has been able to attend BP for a competitive game since March 2020 which will bring more people in.

I don't like focusing on what others are doing but when you consider one of our local rivals playing a league higher than us couldn't even attract 2500 spectators last weekend, 4000 would be a good effort.

I’d say nearer 5000 considering it’s our first home game with fans for 18 months and 3000 ST holders . Plenty of interest from people who haven’t bought a ST to boost the attendance I’d think ?

Got to be aiming for 5000 for the first attended home game in 18 months on a bank holiday weekend, with good season ticket sales.

In fact, I think an average of 5000 is the sort of gate we should be aiming for, especially if we make it back into the league as we are quite reliant on ticket revenue.

If we hit the ground running and are doing well (ie stay unbeaten for a few games or atleast only lose one of the first say 8-9 games) I can see the attendance getting close to 5, 000. What we need to remember is when we did hit attendances of 5,500-6,500 it was when we had 1,000+ away followings in the league.
