No word yet whether BT Sport will be broadcasting the match. Although it's a UEFA Champions League night so highly unlikely it will be on.

Just offered the opportunity of a trip to Bromley to Mrs Codger to celebrate our 30th anniversary.

She politely (ish) declined.

5 weeks away. We could find a situation where both us and Bromley have a free Saturday to fit it in due to Covid postponements yet...

Some people are never satisfied are they? What more could she wish for?

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.

My lawyer has advised me to point out that I have never knowingly made the acquaintance of Mrs Old-Codger, much less invited her to visit Bromley or any other London suburb, leafy or otherwise, nor have any intention to invite her anywhere       (Though I am sure she must be an attractive person).

Any repetition of such scurrilous rumours will result in an invitation to a one-on-one meeting in my expensively decorated billiards room, with tasteful painting of a naked lady (not Mrs OC!!), and in addition Rob will receive an immediate cease and desist notice.

For anyone in the London and South East Supporters Group WhatsApp group, I had my phone nicked over the weekend so won't be in the chat for a few days while I wait for a new phone/SIM card. Hopefully, we can meet for those pints before the re-arranged match though.

Got my tickets today.  Small mercies - previously I had tickets in the home end....now got standing tickets in away end.

This, the Dagenham, Dover, Barnet and Southend matches are probably the only ones I'll make this season so looking forward to it.

These midweek away matches are a nightmare if you are travelling from Grimsby so I feel for anyone travelling in from north of the watford gap

The latest train back from Kings Cross to Grimsby is 8.30pm which is useless for night matches. The only option is driving to Newark or Doncaster and getting the train from there.
