The front page of the BBC's National League news section:

I get the feeling Wrexham might get a bit of free coverage this season.

It's almost like that was the business plan.

Think we've covered this slightly before on here; whenever BBC Wales have a Wrexham story, they put it upon on that page too I think, perhaps automatically,  but this doesnt happen to other national league clubs.   That screenshot covers 5 weeks' of stories.  BBC Football hasn't run a Grimsby story in July or August yet!  https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/teams/grimsby-town

Also, given that BBC Football's transfer page doesn't care about national league transfers, I've given up on them for this season.....            https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/transfers

I always thought the BBC was unbiased, but then I believe I might be wrong.

I did a short stint at Radio Humberside's sports team, about 12 or 13 years ago, and they'd go out, get their interviews and then edit the clips for news/sports programmes while also typing a story up for the BBC sport (regional) website.

I'm not sure if they were always responsible for writing the regional content that fulled through to the national BBC Sport site, but that's how it was back then.

The club is owned by Ryan Reynolds! The world is obsessed with celebrities of varying talent levels. News websites are driven by how many clicks they get.

I know that's broadly true, but as they don't have adverts on their website, so I don't think that's the case for the BBC. Might be wrong though.

They do like to go for ratings/clicks though to keep rove they’re ‘relevant’ to the bulk of license fee payers.

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.

It's still used as a measure for how much the site is viewed and therefore what value for money the license fee payer is getting.

And they sell advertising on their site outside the UK.
