Twice this week a team from Manchester started as favourites, both went out for all out attack,  both played poorly and both lost.

Regardless, Chelsea had some incredible talent out there that night and it was pretty mind blowing to take in the sheer difference in pace and power of a Champions League side versus a lowly League Two team. It was amazing to see. So disciplined. James and Chllwell just snuffed Sterling and Mahrez out completely. And Kante was simply outstanding. No many teams can pull off a performance like that, especially against a team like City brimming with creative talent. I'l be happy if we can keep us shape that well against the likes of Solihull next season.

But it wasn’t unexpected really, I’ve never rated him as a great strategist on KO games if his big buys can’t just turn up and have the freedom of the park.
