My guess is that the relationship was based on very competitive rates* on the basis it would look good on their portfolio.

This...given the May debacle and the ongoing saga of Not so honest John’s tax bill, the Extreme Leisure thing and the so called owners wife slagging the fans off looks like another bullet dodged for everyone except Fenty.

Did they ever build that development Marley and Day kept wittering on about?

Can you imagine...

If Fenty got his way a few years back, we could be about to start a non-league season playing at a soulless sardine tin stadium, designed and built by cowboys, off Peaks Parkway. Imagine what the attendance would be like on a cold Tuesday night against Weymouth.

Proper non-league.

We really dodged a bullet there. I'm not one for hyperbole, but the takeover really is a turning point in our club's history. A real 'sliding doors' moment.
