I agree with your 10 reasons but we're already in danger of heaping massive pressure and expectation on him.
Rome wasn't built in a day, there's an awful lot to do both on and off the pitch but, in reality, the time to raise our hopes is when we see who he gets through the door.
This.

Whilst we are one of the big boys we are certainly no bigger than Notts County, Chesterfield, Hartlepool, Wrexham and probably Stockport and the last two of these will also have decent budgets. We probably have one of the largest away following in any league below League 1 but our home attendances have never reached the levels witnessed in the early seventies and eighties despite a number of years in the Championship.
Whilst disappointed with Hurst’s failure to turn round results until March iit is evident from the last ten games what his qualities are and that’s putting out a team that will have pride in playing for town and for each other. He also appears more relaxed in his interviews and seems less concerned with the opposition and more focussed on how we play.
Going into next season I want to see signings that make us favourites to win the league before it even starts and start the season with kind of confidence (bordering arrogance) that Crawley and Fleetwood demonstrated in our first two years in non-league where they expected to win every game. We obviously give the opposition respect but hopefully our squad will be good enough to return us a la Bristol Rovers and Cheltenham at the first attempt.
It certainly won’t be easy but it’s very achievable and with the right positive attitude from the board down and some attractive salary packages maybe the likes of Meyainaisse, Matete and Hewitt will be happy to stay and help deliver that success. Us older fans know that once the town juggernaut gets rolling forward the backing home and away will be significant and loud so let’s get the right players to deliver this identified and brought in.
Chesterfield as big as Town, like including Spurs in ESL.

I think the only danger to getting back, will be bullshit, arguments and preferences about a new ground

All I want to hear from the club now is that we are preparing already for next season, use the last games as pre season games to look at players for next season and the aim is to hit the ground running when the new season starts

That's a really good point. I always got that impression, also that he always held back a bit of his budget knowing he might need it to recruit at the latter stages of the season, thinking when we brought in players like Gowling late on. Be nice to go into the season with there or thereabouts the full squad and hitting the ground running big time. I'd love for us to send that statement and be 21 points on the board after 7 games with a healthy goal difference.
No pressure then
