Why is this bad judgement?

They have let temperatures cool.
They will have discussed it internally.
They've had time to weigh up the options and get advice (legal, HR policy)
They've controlled the narrative and not allowed social media to manage the club.

I'd say it is an unusually good piece of work by the club. We'd normally get a knee jerk statement from the Principal Funder talking badly spelt and grammatically painful cobblers.

I'll agree with you 100% if the statement says we've sacked Morais and offered Payne a 3 year contract!

I have a reliable source at the club and I can assure you you're going to be ok on that front.

Apparently it's a 4 year deal.

I mean...it's hardly assault is it. He lightly touched his head against Morais', and didn't cause any damage or pain by the looks of it.

It is, however, a red card offence on a football pitch, and incredibly stupid/unprofessional.
