Wonder what happened to Kings Lynn Mariner from the Grim Exile

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.

Funnily enough I used to watch the Linnets play quite a bit when I was growing up as I've got family over that way. In those days, Town were going strong in Division One and Kings Lynn were somewhere several steps down in the non-league ecosystem.

Never did I think we would be playing them in a league game. It's a stark reminder that this shouldn't be happening really, but perversely I think we'll start next season in the National League with a brighter future than had we ground out another turgid season in League Two, with the now outgoing regime in charge.

No! None of it was true, none of those things we thought we could see existed at all.
All that was really there was still more misery

I think you meant Grim Outlook.

I wonder what happened to that.

This is exactly where my head is at, taking a step back to go forward again. If it takes a few years, so be it, because I'm 100% certain that the alternative under the outgoing regime would be year, after year, after year fighting relegation battles. Groundhog day.

Maidenhead away ....

If we go down sure I’d want to come straight back up again but i suspect that will be a real challenge.

We’re behind so many in this league in terms of infrastructure and will initially be the same in the National League.
