Both cracking interviews. Articulate and measured, yet heartfelt.

It kind of makes me feel OK to be a fan of my club, which I haven't felt for a while.

I agree, it was constructive and honest. I couldn’t listen to Holowhead after the first 2 months he was just too mental and incoherent, I like Hursts approach and I hope that we ca close the season with some spirit at least utm

Once again Hurst comes across very well. He's being very politic but we can all read between the lines.

We've been hamstrung as a club.

This is why all our managers fail, not because they are all excrement. Isn't it telling that we only got an analyst in a couple of weeks back, two thirds of the way into the season. At the time Husty basically admitted we're only getting what everyone  else has got.

Its really positive that he is having these conversations with the new owners and just solidifies my view that we all need to come together next year for a fresh start, nomatter what  level we at.

I listened to both these after not bothering with previous pre and post match interviews certainly over the last few weeks.
I felt strangely uplifted by both of them for differing reasons. Out of all of Holloway signings I always thought that Jackson had the best potential and would get better with a decent run in the team. That time has now come.

Really interesting from PH
Subtext?
In the right hands no reason why GTFC cannot be a modern, forward-thinking and successful club
Clearly - under current owner - we have not been

So - sad as it is - relegation but with new owners who want to spend and invest may not be the complete disaster it would be if nothing had changed at the top

The three of them are very modern businessmen - two of whom (poss Pettit?) have links to the City and will know what it takes to think big/modern etc
They have a world outside Grimsby - and will surely have great contacts etc

PH also implies that GTFC has been hamstrung by JF - and things that should have been done were not
States obvious!

I think he is genuinely excited about working for new owners - and can see a bright future

In short, whoever is manager, we will be a club fit for purpose and for 2021/22

Yes, it is clear that the new owners are forward looking, and will drag the club out of the gloom of the current regime.

It's a pity that the rebuild will most probably take place in the NL, but I don't think we will be there anything like as long as last time.  This time round we will not be giving away our best players to save peanuts, or through administrative member ups.

The club has been disastrously mismanaged for years by people not fit for purpose. Clueless in how to run a modern club.  Thsi is going to change and so we will be able to live up to our potential rather than miles below it.

So despite the horror of our current plight, I am optimistic about the future.
