I hope we get bags of cash for him , just can’t see how he can play higher up the pyramid with no pace. Having said that perhaps strength / conditioning people could maybe could find half a yard 😳

Not going to happen!  He's hardly a competent League 2 player atm, and his lack of pace holds him back a lot.

Been told it’s a done deal for two of our players to move to large academies in the summer. Not sure the financial impact of non league on our Youth set up but I am pretty sure it’s huge so can see plenty trying to stay within the league structure.

Oh and the biggest improvement Hurst has made is creating the defensive pairing of Hewitt and Mayenese, so Pollock will just have to bide his time.

The implications to the Academy is huge.

50% finance in the first season of relegation.

Parents eventually having to pay money for their kids having to be at the Academy.

Dropping out of the Academy weekly fixture programme and having to find fixtures each week where they can.

Losing players to the likes of Lincoln, Scunnie and Hull who will still be in the funded Academy system.

Struggling for coaches who need jobs at proper financed academies. Where does the finance come from once you are no longer part of the Academy system funding from the Premier League and EFL? It doesn’t, and so how do you continue to employ sons of the full time Academy staff like Woodsie? You don’t

Relegation has massive implications on the Academy

If only someone had thought about the risk of relegation in the Summer eh Phil. I’m sure if you were part of, or had the ear of, the coterie running the club we wouldn’t be in this mess.

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.

It's almost like the current board should have taken that in to consideration before cutting budgets and letting players go for £100 extra a week.

Hursts post match interview with JT touched on alleged big club interest in Ben Grist . Does anyone know anything new about this.

According to the Telegraph it's Manchester United.

Isn't Ben Grist from Louth? So Lincoln a real option perhaps!

Fenty and Runaway should have thought about this well before Hurst arrived, in fact Fenty should have thought about it when Hurst first arrived.
