Passed away earlier today.

I have no idea if anyone on here knew Neil aged 56
A Town fan home and away.
A filleter up to December 2019 then a brain tumour got him.
Top bloke and a genuinely nice guy. Used to sit in the Ponny bottom left as you look at it from the pitch.  About 10 rows up. Invariably turned up at 5 past 3 after several pre-match beers in Cleethorpes.
A proud Marshite who passed away wearing a Town shirt.

RIP mate. UTM

The wife was going away for a girly weekend.
I jokingly remarked  'I don't know whether to spend it watching porn or watching football'
'you may as well spend it watching porn' she replied
That's understanding darling what makes you say that? I asked

She said 'Well you already know how to play football'

That’s no age. Condolences to his family and friends.

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.

Another one taken far, far too soon by this illegitimate disease. That's exactly the same age as me.

The reason why I'll never stop fundraising until we find a cure for this awful disease.

I didn't  know Neil (probably did by sight though) but RIP to a fellow Mariner.

RIP Neil. Condolences to the family...

'I walked in the dressing room. The window was open and I thought that a sea fret had got in. Then I saw smoke billowing from a pipe in the corner of the room...it was my centre-forward. He looked seven stone wet through. He went on to score thirty-odd goals that season.' Lawrie McMenemy on encountering the legend that was Matt Tees.

Living out here in the sticks we have had a cluster of gliomas I personally think there is a link with organo phosphates used on the fields.

Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day, teach a man to fish and you give him an excuse for him to escape from the wife and kids for the weekend and drink lots of beer.

Just been informed on Neils passing by our kid.
So sad.
What a lovely, genuine, funny bloke.
Always happy even when freezing his nuts of at a filleting tub.
RIP mate you will be missed by many

In his three stints as Grimsby Town manager spanning over 10 years the club was never relegated and he also guided them to three promotions.
Only 14 managers have reached 1,000 matches in charge of a Football League team by 1998 and Buckley is one of them.

RIP Neil, top bloke, would always share a pint and a laugh with him when I bumped into him. Would now and again see him and his mate in the Punchbowl, which was often their last stop on the way to BP
Condolences to his lovely wife, who worked with mine for a number of years, and rest of his family.
Very sad loss x
