Pathetic see much worse most weeks and must be the first time we have even attempted to influence a referee, laughable.

Fenty to the FA: “The football club's narcissistic control is done off the field. Everything else is done on the field. PS. I won’t be paying this fine because I am going now. Thanks for the mammaries. John.”

The football gods really are against us aren’t they. See it happening every week, and as much I hate to see it, got to the point where I wanted to see our players surrounding the ref for once. They actually do it and we get bloody fines.

In all honesty, did anyone see in difference in that situation to what you see in every game?

Did Lincoln ever get charged when Cowley was in charge, doubt it, unbelievable.

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

If it happens in the prem or much worse it's ok. If you run the NL and fc.k up it's ok. If you've got no income, bottom of the heap we'll find another reason tofine you.

Ok the FA says it as it is they know FA. They don't care about anything other than the Premier League. They have no diversity, they probably, allegedly, have slave trader connections when they set up. They are run by a bunch of old white cronies. Little Englanders.

We dont know the whys and wherefores. I'm not saying it was but it COULD have been that something was said by a Town player, post-tackle, but the Ref didnt know who said it, but still felt the need to report it. Could have been an insult towards the fact that Newport is in Wales, and those that live there.

Yes there was a bit of jostling after the tackle, but no fists were thrown, no heads connected with others, no stamping on anyone. Nothing that isnt seen in any other game across the land day in day out.

We only have a basic report. When the whole reason comes out it will be very interesting. I wonder if we will get our incumbant Solicitor to write a strongly worded official letter to the FA

"Dere FA man,

WE is very sad that youv find us for nuffin. Are man did have is legs took from unda im, and our teem was not happy abou it. Pleas can yuo stop finning us cos we ant got enny munny left.

This is so annoying and frustrating. We are not exactly a dirty side are we. When watching the match not for one second did I think we over stepped the mark. What about all the premier league teams that do this week in week out, plus the likes of Salford who challenge every single decision in every game. I hate football sometimes.

I presume, given the pandemic, the FA don’t want large groups bawling and spreading their spittle into referees faces.

But I agree that every other team seems to do the same and get away with it.

Haven't Newport had 4 players sent off in recent weeks? Surely that should tell the FA something.

They clearly take no prisoners on the pitch.

Football is so weird sometimes.

I presume it's because something was said, but the ref couldn't identify the player. If it's for not social distancing when remonstrating then that's ridiculous — have you seen how they hug each other at every set piece?

Makes me laugh. Celebrations = wrong, fist bumps only. Every corner kick = bedlam, about 20 players sharing four blades of grass.

Good points made there but surely GTFC will challenge the charge and present some of these points. We're ok with the fist pumps and celebrations can't wait until we get prosecuted for celebrating a winning goal.

Yeah I'll change the thread title to "Town and Newport charged by the FA."

Maybe I should have done it when I merged the threads.

Surely all we have to do is show a excrement load of videos of other teams games to show the same thing happens every game, and then ask "why have we been singled out?".  The FA would find themselves been accused of victimisation by singling us out, again!

Problem is that the description of the ruling is so wide open they could pin just about anything to it and make it stick.
Loads of teams get charged with it and I would think it's one of those that is hardly worth appealing against unless the refs report is wildly incorrect....I think even then it's a case of reverse law where you have to prove innocence rather than them prove you guilty.
So if the ref puts in his report players were aggressive or abusive in their language then you are hardly going to disprove it.
Also the ref has 24/48 hrs I think to file his report so he can easily watch the video back and ensure his "memory recall" is accurate to any report.

Of all the times this happens you have to ask "why Grimsby Town?".

We must be the only team to be charged for an opponent's red card FFS.

Could we be deducted points if by any chance they manage to make it stick?

Apparently Colchester and Southend were fined for a similar thing after their match on Boxing Day. It's balderdash, just a way for the FA to get some extra money. I notice that players in the Prem creeping up behind the refs when they're looking at the VAR monitor is a thing that's not been fined yet.

Because it happens every game, especially in the televised games. If they genuinely want to stamp it out then that's where they should start so the message gets across to all that are watching. We are an easy target that don't have the eecoures or a wider audience to fight back. It's easy money for the FA.

Because it happens every game, especially in the televised games. If they genuinely want to stamp it out then that's where they should start so the message gets across to all that are watching. We are an easy target that don't have the eecoures or a wider audience to fight back. It's easy money for the FA.

In 2019 Ebbsfleet were charged and fined much more than we were and were threatened with a points deduction if they were found guilty a second time.

Google's great, give it a try sometime.

At least our players weren't playing darts on the pitch and being too close together.

It seems that we are keeping a safe distance from our opponents on the pitch so you can't say we aren't abiding by the social distancing remit.

Generally because they had to be dealt with 4 times in 12 months. So it wasn’t really the same situation as Towns.

Baldrick ! The only impression you can do is that of a man with no talent !!
