I wonder if there will be any out goings today ?

Could be. Hurst has said that he prefers a smaller squad.

However, I can’t see any other clubs wanting to sign our castoffs so it would most likely be contract terminations.

Vernam chosen Bradford over us apparently, which to be fair, makes total sense, and that's what we are up against

Vernam was also one of these players in Lloyd Griffiths article on COD Almighty who wasn't happy at his contract offer, so that could have had a sway in it.

I think you are right, and with the lower depths of Non-League suspended, I can't see many coming in for the scraps.

It also comes down to players who are surplus to requirements, I would probably only say Alhagi Touray Sisay comes into that? On a 1 year deal, doesn't feature at all.

I wonder if the signing of Payne and LJL may see Green out the door? I have always thought as well that we are never too far out of seeing Scannell go. Glimpses of ability but often injured or on the bench.

Think Sisay is on peanuts so will probably sit out his contract in the reserves, sure I recall talk of Scannell, Green, Hewitt and Gibson all having meetings with Hurst in the last week. Scannell and Gibson seem to be some players Hurst thinks we over committed on and that they have not proven themselves. I'd be kinda surprised if all of these four were still with us by the summer and not either paid up or shipped off elsewhere. The latter probably depends on how likely it is all the non league stuff gets shut down. Same person told me that Green had told Hurst and others he was planning to see out his contract with us and then retire to do other things. Hurst apparently had a go at him after the Scunthorpe game and said if he doesn't want to be in football anymore then he should just tell him he wants to go.

I've said this for a long time about green he's in the game for himself no the club, runs around making himself look busy when its pointless running around he's doing. Be glad to see the back of him, stole a wage for far to long now.

Huddersfield Town are reportedly plotting a late swoop for Ipswich Town striker Kayden Jackson.

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

You're probably right on Sisay, am I right in thinking he had a loan at Cleethorpes earlier in the year so I can't imagine he would have many suitors interested even if he was made available?

Completely forgot about Gibson, yeah I remember seeing Hurst's comments about over committing but was unsure as to who he was speaking of. I believe Gibson has another year left on his contract but yeah I think he made too much of a step up, he's not a bad player but he would probably do well in National League North / South.

Hewitt is a disappointing one, he can be a very good player but like a lot of this time can be terrible when off form.

Green, well no need to explain

I still don't get how Vernam was even available for loan. Thought he was playing regularly/happy at Burton?
