Apologies if its been posted and I've missed it but who is in charge of team selection and stuff today plaese?
What sort of team can we expect and what tactics, subs etc Presumably they haven't got together to sort out anything new so will it still be the Hollow way?

The football seems a sideshow at the moment and that is a sad state of affairs. This could have been sorted, done and dusted months ago if JF didn't place ridiculous demands on those who have been trying to take over the club. Calling them tyre kickers and saying they didn't have proof of funds, was obviously him really saying, they won't give me all my money back on my terms, so I will soldier on regardless. I will use covid and a salary cap we heartily embraced to cut the outgoings to the absolute minimum and short change the fans once again. I'll accept their generosity with the season ticket refund takeup, accept the money from the crowd funder and the purchase of shares, accept all the new money from season ticket sales, give them a free calendar, and watch a cheap, cobbled together side struggle once again to compete in a cut throat league, guided by a charlatan of a manager.
So here we are once again, with the threat of relegation looming large. Dave Moore again tasked with halting the slide, while the search for yet another manager goes on and a transfer window looming that is make or break. We don't even have an assistant manager to take over the reins. Sounds familiar doesn't it?
Well run my ar$e.

A couple of wins and JF will offer them the job (cheap) Doubt Dave Moore would be interested though.

As much as I think we need a new manager ASAP, it would be better to allow a new ownership group to appoint a permanent manager if a takeover goes through. Ben Davies as caretaker and allowing him to bring in an experienced, short-term assistant to help him is probably the best idea. I wonder if Gary Peters (his manager at Shrewsbury) would fancy coming in for a month. He's 66 and might be up for a short spell (1-5 months) acting as BD's assistant/advisor.

Was thinking the same. You never know though, the Newport manager was a coach at the club when they put him in charge. He hasn't do too badly. We are due a bit of luck and maybe we can stumble on a manager that was right under our noses. Nah! What am I thinking. Probably got Slade 3 lined up.

The Cowley's would keep us up I have no doubt but there is no way they would come here I'm afraid.

Under the current regime we won't get any manager of that caliber. But with a new owner who knows?

Everyone is entitled to their view.
Mine is that I think it best to stay with Ben Davies and Dave Moore for the foreseeable future, including the January window. I'm sure they would do a better job, than making a quick managerial appointment.

It's a difficult one - that would mean entrusting Ben Davies with getting the right guys in during January. Looking at it glass-half-full, he will have played with/against a fair number of the players in the 'experienced' category that we ought to be looking at. So maybe. He'd be a bigger gamble than appointing Paul Hurst*, but would be cheaper so.... *who as far as I know has expressed no interest in the job. Have I missed something?

Paul Hurst.
Not sure he would be that keen on returning as from what I've read he didn't think much of JF following the lack of investment post promotion?

Unfortunately whoever the manager is, we still have the issue of how to bring players in when we have a list of clauses that go beyond those that most other clubs are proposing. I appreciate these are unprecedented times, but it would appear ours make it so unpalatable for any half decent pro to come here.

Findlater in the Telegraph says Woods is in Morcambe and is on the pitch briefing Jackson and Green. It couldn't be him again even in a temporary capacity, could it?
