I get confused sometimes and I have slept since then but I thought the company was dormant until it started doing it’s business in Wakefield etc.

It's clear that this was set up to be as part of the "regeneration", or in Fenty's world, his way of getting money by employing "Town Centre Living" to do work, so he can get a bit more money...

Remarkable coincidence that this company is effectively wound up just days after being forced to stand down from his position as Deputy Leader of the Council & having the regeneration responsibilities removed from him, given that Town Centre Living is, as stated, focused on projects in Liverpool, Whitchurch and Halifax. Just remarkable.

I see Council Leader Jackson also blocked an attempt to force an independent inquiry into the scandal last night - surely he would want to know what has gone on either within his Cabinet and where staff/Officers may have been implicated.

What has anyone got to hide?

Forgive me, I'm not knowledgeable about matters of policy but.  If Philip Jackson decides there isn't going to be an independent enquiry there isn't going to be one at all?
