I'm with Ollie 110% on this. That means I could backtrack 10%, and still completely support him!

Can't fault him for that statement. I was leaning towards wanting him to go. But after that statement I will get behind him and see what happens during and just after the next window. Also sounds like he has had enough of the board room and is just going to concentrate on the football. We know where he stands now with us

I am only behind him if he wins matches, calling out the board (current or the one to come) means nothing if we are not successful on the pitch or worse we are relegated. All his fighting bullshit is just that if we go down

He has played a blinder, the fans who were calling for his head Tuesday night / Wednesday are now once again right behind him. He has taken the heat from himself, his team and a 3-1 loss to bottom of league and made a rallying call for Saturday's local derby.
In making this statement he has probably brought his position at the club close to untenable under current regime but in doing so he has also once again become the people's champion. The board get rid of him they will be getting rid of a man who states he stands side by side with the fans.
He may not be the astute tactician on the pitch but he is one hell of a spin doctor off it.
Well played that man.

This is absolutely right. I was one of those on Tuesday, just sick of losing, and worrying that even Ollie can’t motivate this set of ‘players’. I love Ollie, and I’m praying for any sort of decent result on Saturday. But we cannot carry on like this....

An excellent performance on paper, just want to see the same excellence in the results... A clean start on the pitch and a clear out in Boardroom would make perfect Christmas presents for all real Town supporters.
Merry Christmas Ollie, your turn to deliver after Santa’s been 🤞🤞🤞

I’m with Ollie 100% but let’s be realistic here and not lose the plot if it goes mammaries up on Saturday. It’s the long haul that matters, Ollie will stick it out and so must we with support, so whatever happens on Saturday let’s still be right behind him. I’m convinced that we have enough and with some additions in January to not be relegated. UTMM!!!

I don't want a spin doctor I want a manager who is a winner This statement is very clever no more than that
It is very clever but it also puts the pressure on JF. Maybe he is losing his grip in the Boardroom and allegiances are shifting. What if he is forced into a corner , what does he do then ? If he opposes any kind of sale then it exposes him for the control freak that a lot of fans think he is. If he leaves or is forced of the board what does he do then ? Does he demand the club repays his loan ( like a previous grocer did ) and jeopardise the clubs existence ( even though he said the loan was " benign " ) or does he accept that his grip on the club is over. We live in interesting times.

excellent summing up rancido, especially with the Cod Almighty revelations about the possible 5 star fish liabilities. fwiw bax's posts make me wonder whether this is one of those deals that is basically done, its just sorting out how certain people can retreat with their face saved and can exit the building with head held high, if that makes sense

I’ve thought as much for a while. Bax is clearly still in contact with many trust members so you wonder how far things got some time ago. I can’t exactly recall the timeline but getting Ollie possibly bought the board some goodwill and they decided to hang around.

I would be proud to stand by a manager that can win a game of football and at least put up a fight in a game of football. Writing a statement is the least of our problems at the moment, I wish Mr Holloway would invest his energy into the creation of an average league 2 football team utm

He still has the grounds to instantly sack him for this outburst but I bet he doesn't in case the cupboard opens.

I believe the playing side and administrative side should be kept separate, let Ollie be concentrating 100% on getting results. Think you’ll find a successful team on the pitch usually means a successful club off it, but vice a versa doesn’t often work.

I know what you mean but the two are inseparable. You need a successful club to fund a successful team. A good public profile for the manager can help the gate receipts. It obviously helps if everyone can concentrate on their jobs. But if the background is disrupted it has an effect on the squad.
