Genuine question, what happened with Danny Coyne? From memory, we went down and he became Kasey Keller's back-up at Leicester in the prem. I don't remember any mistreatment but I may have simply forgotten.

Seem to recall we couldn’t extend his contract without him taking a pay cut due to the much referred to collapse of ITV Digital, but long time ago so could be talking out my ‘arris!!

Hi Poojah they tried very forcefully to make him take a pay cut even though he was contracted.

Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day, teach a man to fish and you give him an excuse for him to escape from the wife and kids for the weekend and drink lots of beer.

The treatment of Danny Coyne and Phil Jeavons set the tone.

Phil Jevons goal of the season at Liverpool but the club refused to give it to him.

Refused ton play him because it would trigger appearance payment to Everton.

I think the club massively added to the perfect storm, by not only decimating a promising squad ( not for the first time) but by buying into the salary cap. The clubs who already had established squads and could enter their existing players at the league average were always going to be at an advantage. It couldn't have started in a worse season for us, yet we wholeheartedly embraced it. We can't even financially outgun teams like Harrogate any more.

Remember Harrogate? Beat us at BP, won away at high flying Exeter last night: have a striker that scores goals. First season in the football league and are outperforming us.

The more I think about it the more I think the club, at the top, were hoping clubs would cave financially because of Covid and that would be our get out of jail free card.

Penny pinch to within an inch of our lives and just hope and pray some other clubs end up on their bottom...
