So does this mean he's going to come steaming back into Blundell Park and catapult Day out of his old job?  Just when people on here were getting excited that he was gone!  

Also brings forward the prospect of a club statement, can't wait.

If he said 'I also want out of GTFC and will be looking to sell the club' that is hardly the greatest starting point for negotiations. If ever Shutes or any other potential buyer was going g to try to crank up the pressure then now is the moment.

The fans could buy the club easily season tickets would go up massively and all other revenue businesses would chip once he has gone.

The whole issue of fans running the club isn’t as simple as some make it. Just take a look on here at any given time and you’ll see how opinion is split on most issues on a given day.

That misinterprets the point I was making somewhat, but I think you know that.

I’m all for fan owned clubs but it’s important to remember it isn’t simple and a clear format to do so would need to be established.

Just look how much grief the trust gets. It won’t be a simple fix and all sunny up lands. I’m not against it, just understand it isn’t a magic bullet.
