The official word was Ogbu left by mutual consent because he felt homesick but a few suspected he didn't fit into Ollie's plans.

Looks like it was the latter.

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

So Holloway thought he wasn’t very good? Hardly a surprise, I think most fans thought the same...homesick is always a good excuse though.

I trust Ollies judgment on any player that comes or goes.

"We talked through it and the new coach did not want me there. I should have started in that team every day of the week."

Even the manager who signed him did not rate him that highly.

Anyone that doesn't use the names of their managers/assistants, co-players, etc. in interviews just strikes me as someone that can't be arsed.

Seems he thought a lot more of himself than anyone else at the club did. Struck me as another Tom Bolarinwa, some good raw attributes but didn't seem to have the fitness and footballing ability to do well in British league football. A nice experiment that never worked out.
