Macclesfield have just been hit with a SEVEN-point deduction for failing to play a game in December and not paying players in February leaving them just three points above bottom placed Stevenage who have a game in hand.

JUST SAYING

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

If we do not finish the season it means nothing at all.

Unless the League have the bottom two clubs play a one off game to see who goes down.

A real shame as I like Macclesfield as a club. I really hope they can sort themselves out or ultimately I can see them fading away. The coronavirus may help them regarding not getting relegated if the season is cancelled but they'll still be financially broken due to no income streams. Unfortunately I have a feeling things will not go well for them either way.

I mean they’d probably still stay up, even if the season was going on...although I’d have imagined this fine/deduction would’ve happened a few weeks ago.

Stevenage are awful but when the season is voided this won’t mean anything...

So if season voided.....

.....Macclesfield will have an unblemished record.
.....Stevenage will not have had their worst season in the league.
.....League 1 will start with only 23 teams again!
.....Barrow who have had possibly there best season in non league will have to try and do it again to get promotion. (Even if EFL is completed I do not see how they can be promoted as NL has been voided)

I know it might have to happen, but the EFL must explore every other option before doing it. Personally I think the season should finish how ever long it takes.

And Stevenage get away with the charge of postponing a game because of three players on international duty when they only had two that were.

A guaranteed court case if they get relegated because of the deduction.

League 1 started the season with 24 teams didn't it ? Didn't Bury get chucked out after a few weeks ?
If the season gets wiped then would they have a case for reinstatement?
