Just checking on my fishy friends, how are we all coping ?
Those in self isolating, are you getting the help you need?

My user name on the fishy is The Yard Dog (Les knows the story behind this) my real is Mark Burgess, aged 52, married with 3 children. I am carer for my wife. I have been a life long GTFC supporter and played local cricket for about 35 years, stopped playing a few years ago.
I grew up living near a few town players, Clive Wiggington took me to meet the players in the dressing room (about 1978 ) before a game, got the bug from then. Now I voluntary look after the press room on match days turning it in to my man den with GTFC pictures, photographs etc, this gives an outlet from the pressure of being a carer and house husband.

Looking at ways we can help each other, through these difficult times, adopt a fishy friend or fishy buddy.
I know some do not see eye to eye, thats whats makes 'thefishy', we need to help, support each and do what we can to get through this.

I am on Facebook (picture of me and best friend and our lads in front of Wembley), do not usually post much on their, however it has messenger and video calling.  If anyone needs a different outlet to talk, request to be friends and a fishy bubby.

Just an idea.

Yeah, eventually. As it's just round the corner from work I thought I'd nip in early to try and get the few bits I couldn't get at Morrisons on Wednesday only to find it's not 24hr anymore and doesn't open until 8am now. Anyway got in when they did open the doors and did manage to get the few bit I never got on Wednesday.

Got parked no problem when I arrived but when I left the car park was full with cars waiting for people to leave to get parked.

This is what I love about the Fishy. On the surface we're all gruff, hairy arsed football fans. Collectively, we don't have a great reputation, but every now and again the milk of human kindness drips through and we're family.

Anyone who is doing anything to keep the country moving, and keeping folk safe and well I salute you.

I have just signed up with my local foodbank, who I did some voluntary work for years back. They are desperate to get food to folk now, but because of the panic buying nobody's dropping the food off any more. They are now looking at a network of freezers strategically placed across our area in Dumfriesshire to stock cooked food that can be packaged up, frozen, and then delivered as an when needed. I'm now a delivery driver. Not quite the train driver most young boys of my age dreamt of becoming, but it's the first time I've held the post of driving anything, and am fairly chuffed with that.

No attempt at ethical or social seduction can eradicate from my heart a deep burning hatred of the Tory party. So far as I'm concerned they're lower than vermin. Aneurin Bevan.

I am in a completely different situation out here in Asia.  Mostly, the situation is better, believe it or not, than in the UK.  That said, I'd if i do contract the virus I'd rather be somewhere in the NHS than here in Vietnam.  On the whole though the response has been pretty good here and there is no panic buying.  There are a lot of coffee shops open but no bars as well as all sports events are off. My missus is in Canada.  She's been looking after her dying grandmother.  I am not sure she'll get back in the country. If anyone wants a differnet slant on a global problem or a chinwag about town let me know

It gives you a good feeling inside, that you able to do your bit, may the force be with you.
Be safe and watchout for scumbags, my pizza delivery driver, had his car nicked while he was out delivering yesterday in Cleethorpes.

Where are you in Vietnam?

As you know, Vietnamese coffee is potent stuff. I was as high as a Crouch after a couple of coffee shots.
