Why void this season ?

Why not void next season instead.
We wait until things are back under control. Then give the clubs two weeks/one month  notice for a mini pre-season type fitness regime. Then this season is resumed to completion.
Depending on when this is finished we then look at next season. So all the clubs  know exactly what is in store.  If need be, due to lack of time for next season, reduce the playing time to 30 mins each way and play two games a week.  Obviously there is no perfect solution, but it would sort out any legal issues as long as we finish this season.  


The wife was going away for a girly weekend.
I jokingly remarked  'I don't know whether to spend it watching porn or watching football'
'you may as well spend it watching porn' she replied
That's understanding darling what makes you say that? I asked

She said 'Well you already know how to play football'

Agree about completing this season, seeing where we are then and planning for the future accordingly

but...

30 min each way?? Give your head a wobble.

The thing is, until this pandemic passes there's not a lot of planning anyone can do.

We could void this season and next season, but still find ourselves in a situation where normality hasn't returned in 18 months time.

This is completely and utterly uncharted territory.

I don't think clubs at our level can afford to wait and delay recommencing the season. As soon as the all clear is given it's game on. Next season might need to be shortened. That can be agreed prior to 2021/22 season beginning.

not sure that would work....what about players out of contract on 1st of July....teams may struggle to het a swaud together in such a short space

i would void this season...

Another alternative would be...
Finish the season once the virus gone (late summer/autumn)
Have a winter break and run all future seasons from March to October  

No more freezing your ballacks off on a tuesday night and loads more sunny away days

I think we should declare this season null and void no promotions or relegations, it is alright saying lets complete this season in June July but we don't know if the virus would have even hit its peak by then? We are just assuming it would have, this is really unknown territory and no matter what decision is made there will be happy and unhappy people.

I’d be in favour of completing the season. There’s only a few games left of the league season. It would be unfair to cut it now. If it runs into the Summer/Autumn then cut next season. In fact make a decision to cut next season already - cancel all Cup and international games including the CL and EL.

A solution can be found to players being out of contract.
