Been ruled out for the rest of the season after tearing hamstring on international duty.

Think it is likely  that we won’t see him in a town shirt again.

Thanks for the memories embo and good luck in the future.

Good........in a nice way

It’ll give MJ  a chance to put someone else in midfield that might of not had a chance before the end of the season, certainly a place for Clifton to finish out the remaining games and build up his strength for next season.

Are we any closer to getting promoted since Hurst has been here? No

Has he been given time to achieve promotion by the chairman and fans? Yes

Hurst out

Sorry for the lad, not the way he wanted to end the season.

It would have been a terrible thing if we were involved in he play offs and needed him for the run in.

I wonder if Whitehouse might make it back before the end of he season?

Jolly gave the impression he might be ready for preseason.

Embleton was a refreshing change from the journeymen pros who just came for a pay packet in recent seasons , I think he’ll have a decent career in pro football

Biggest shame is we can't give him a big blundell park send off in the last home game...just hope it doesn't affect his chances of getting a new contract with Sunderland..

Hope Sunderland are sympathetic and don't expect us to carry on paying our share of his contract.

Bad luck for the kid. He's looked pretty leggy for most of 2019 so not as much of a loss as it would have been when he hit that run of form last year.

Hopefully, we'll see Clifton and Hessenthaler develop a good partnership in his absence, so we are ready for next season. More experience with the system we are now playing can't be bad either.

Unlucky for the lad.

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.
