What players would you realistically like to see us sign?
Just curious as to who people have ear marked

There is still a very slim chance we could be in League 1 next season, but whilst it's very slim, it would make a big difference to the players we would/could sign

Part of Lutons title winning team last season. Only ten appearances in l1 this season, mostly off bench. But was arguably leagues best player last year
With them going into the championship next season would love him to fill the Embleton role, but think he may get a l1 club

It’s a bit early to be talking targets but Paul McCallum at Eastleigh looks an interesting prospect. 21 goals in the conference so far this season, second top scorer in the league with comfortably the best goals per minute ratio.
He’s a big athletic unit, and very strong in the air - the type of player we lack amongst our attacking options at the minute.
He’s a good age at 25 and out of contract in the summer. Worth a scout.

I like Mason Bennett who is a striker from Derby...I think.

I blame the weather. Last week I saw butterflies on Bleaklow, daisies and dandelions at Barton and today it was too hot to garden. The scouts should be busy though for the elusive bigfoot up front. My targets are a start for Dennis, Vernam and RHJ.

That's a great, if very ambitious, shout. Always impressed me, even when in the Conference with Cambridge. Always felt he would have been the perfect fit to partner Disley in our midfield. Contracted for at another season after this one and with the option of a further year if the club want it, I suspect Luton would be able to command a decent fee too.

I know he's history with us but it looks like Jamey Osborne could be back in league 2 next season with Solihull....just saying.

| Christ you all wanted him sacked a few months ago. 6th place finish and he's now the messiah and can do no wrong Update: I think I've got this right - He was the messiah. He then wasn't. He then was again. Then it turned out he actually wasnt. He turned into one big huge messiah again. Now he's not actually the messiah we thought he was . Now I'm hoping he rises again quickly |

It's clear Osborne is a very good player but why isn't he playing at a higher level? You do wonder about his mentality and commitment to take that next step. I know location was an issue whilst he was here but you do wonder if it will ever really happen for him. Got a feeling Solihul will run out of steam against the likes of Orient, Wrexham and Salford but you never know. Shame Jolley didn't arrive 2 months earlier, you do wonder if he would have been able to keep Osborne and get the most out of him

I have been impressed with Alex Gilbey MKD every time I have seen him play. Bags of experience as a holding midfielder but still only 24. Doubt if he would come though

If David mayler was the wow signing that they must missed out on last month then that still has to be a possibility in the summer. That would be a huge signing .Dennis i fear will be too expensive but from the25 mins i saw on Saturday he's also be a statement of intent. Speedy winger, creative midfielder and that big African lump all coming in from Sweden would be perfect

Shay McCartan is on loan at Lincoln from Bradford. I really like him, and think he'd be a great steal. He was awesome for Accy when they were promoted.

I've been impressed with Harry Smith of Macclesfield and Fraser Franks of Newport previously was at Stevenage.
Seemed to remember Smith playing really well against Town, he was the really meaty guy up front? He held the ball up well that day and good passing / movement for a big guy. Scored 4 in the last 12 games for Macclesfield. Only 23-years-old and out of contract at the end of the season as well.
Quoted from HITC | Posted: 23 January 2019
A number of Championship and League One clubs are weighing up a move for Macclesfield Town forward Harry Smith, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
Smith has caught the eye in recent weeks for Macclesfield with the big target man excelling under Sol Campbell at the League Two club

Exactly. I think it would be a great statement of intent if we pushed the boat out for once. We are currently the poor relation among Lincolnshire EFL clubs and its because the others have gambled on quality players. We now have a talented manger, a good squad, and promising youngsters on the books. What we need now is the ambition in the board room to fulfil the potential we have seen emerging. With a couple of 'wow' signings we could do next season what Lincoln are doing this.
