Today’s reserve side v Latics:

Russel, Davis, Whitmore, Grayson, Clifton, Richardson, Wright, Rose, Vernam, Dennis, Cardwell.
Subs. Pollock, Saunders, Buckley, Burrel, Battersby.

An indication as to the progress made in the past 12 months is the strength of this reserve side. Even the subs. bench has names many will be familiar with.
I would even go so far to suggest this team would have given the team for most of last year a run for its money.

Jolley times ahead. UTMM.

Good game we looked the better side and should really have won. Max Wright really impressed me he looks to have got stronger with the loan away.

Good question. Great to see Dennis bag a hat trick too. Do they get to keep match balls in reserve games I wonder?

More of a youth team. I thought it was a good game. Couldn’t figure out where Akheem Rose was playing but he was unlucky not to score late on with a shot that rattled the bar.

Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day, teach a man to fish and you give him an excuse for him to escape from the wife and kids for the weekend and drink lots of beer.
